Welcome to Mrs. Lowe’s sixth grade mathematics page!  In this class, we are using the Connected Mathematics series of books.  This year, we will cover many topics, including area, factors and multiples, geometry and fractions.  Please take the time to look around the site – there are many resources here for students, parents and the community.

Use the navigation buttons at the right to work your way around the site.  Also, take note of the class schedule and the assignment calendar - they let you know what assignments are due and what periods I have free for tutoring and parent and/or student conferences.

Mathematics is a daily part of almost everyone's life.  My goal is to make learning and doing mathematics both fun and practical.  Students in my class will work both in groups and individually, working both on and above grade level.  The Connected Mathematics program provides numerous opportunities for students to practice both their social and mathematics skills  Students learn to work together while doing mathematics.
